RumChata

What do you get when you mix horchata & rum? RumChata of course! Horchata or “rice water” as I used to call it when I was little is a mixture of rice, milk or water, sugar and cinnamon. It’s tasty by itself but add some rum to that and it’s absolutely delicious! One would think to make this fabulous concoction is easy but really RumChata is a serious process! It starts with hand picked ingredients from around the world, some as far away as Madagascar, combined with Caribbean rum and then blended with the finest Wisconsin dairy cream. The end result is heavenly. It’s just the right amount of rum and horchata for a smooth and creamy liqueur. RumChata is wonderful alone as a shot or a gentle sipper but there are all sorts of interesting ways it serve up from shots to cocktails, martini’s & food recipes. I have to try Golden Cinnamon Grahams, RumChata with Goldschlager or maybe Cake and Ice Cream? RumChata with Cake flavored vodka. So many options to choose from!
